Name: Maximilien De LaSeine
Personality: Maximilien is a true Toreador in that he finds a fascination in aesthetic pleasures. His favorite type of art is painting and other drawn works, a by-product of his own talents. He is a slightly social man, and enjoys the company of both kindred and kine. He appears to be a madly hedonistic person to others; constantly indulging in whatever pleasure he stumbles on. Truly, however, he is just searching to earn a different type of immortality from the when he already enjoys. His truest wish is to create a work of art that both his vampire brethren and the mortal world will remember in the centuries to come.

He accompanies this shirt combination with pants of the same colour at the button-up shirt, usually a pair of pants with many pockets that he can fill with art supplies. At his small home, however, he will usually wear some of his older and paint-stained clothes as he spends most of his at-home time painting. History:
Maximilien was born back in the late 1910s in Marseille to a middle class family. At a young age he discovered his talent for painting and began on the path of the artist. His parents supported him as much as they could, working hard so Maximilien could attend art classes. He grew up with his art, painting every day he could. His break came when he turned 18 and was discovered by a man named Edmond Dantes.
Edmond was a rich art lover vacationing in Marseille. He attended one of Maximilien’s small exhibitions and was thoroughly impressed. He told Maximilien he would buy all the paintings exhibited and wanted to bring him to London to produce more paintings for exhibition. Maximilien jumped on the idea and packed his bags the same day. Once in London, he began painting as a full profession. Edmond financed his start in exchange for a few personal commissions, and remained one of his customers. He adored his new life, which is fortunate, as it would not last very long.
The Second World War began. Soldiers were being recruited around Maximilien, his only protection coming from his rich clients. He was happy to remain outside of fighting. The circumstance unfortunately changed once France was invaded. His heart would not rest as long as his family was in danger, and he enlisted against the wishes of all his friends.
Once on the fields of battle, he realized how out of place he was. He despised how much beauty the weapons of both the Allies and the Germans were destroying. He fought hard in the ruined villages everyday, mud splattering around him as easily as blood. This was a hellish place, and he wished he could simply take his parents away to safety. His chance came when a familiar man appeared one night on the outskirts of the town . This man was only human in appearance, but had tricked Maximilien ever since they had met. This man was Edmond Dantes, and he was a 7th generation vampire.
He met Edmond with a fond handshake, but was answered with the Embrace. Edmond had feared the loss of another good artist and come to bring him immortality. Maximilien was now a vampire, and he now had the means to carry out his wish. He left the next night for Marseilles to find his parents. What he found, sadly, were a pair of graves. He decided to leave the world he knew for a while and paint as he traveled.
He traveled for the next half century, seeing many exotic things and painting them as well. It was during one of those travels that he met the Sabbat. It was during a trip through New York. He was staying in a simple apartment where no one would disturb him, or so he thought. One night he was finally getting up at his usual late time when someone knocked at his door. He carefully looked through the peep hole and was face with a trio of vampires. They demanded entry to his apartment. He decided it was not a good idea, so he told them he wasn't entertaining guests at the moment. They got frustrated and broke down the door. Maximilien used his speed to strike the first one twice as he stepped in, but it still left him facing two vampires one his own. He decided it was best he leave, so he went through the window and climbed the fire ladder down. He ran as fast as he could to escape them and boarded the first train the next night.
He decided it was about time to settle down somewhere, and as such returned to his native France. He couldn’t bring himself to settle back in Marseilles, and as such decided to inhabit the City of Lights, Paris. He used some of the money from some newly sold paintings to buy an apartment and a car and began his new life within Paris night.
