The modern world could be considered one of extremes. There is extreme violence, bloodshed and war but also love, kinhood and peace. However, behind the turmultous existance humans face daily, there lies a World of Darkness where immortal monsters pull the strings of humanity and exert their shadowy influence upon the world. Vampires are the most widespread and in some cases, the most powerful of these monsters and their influence has shaped some of the most important events in human history. However, there are growing fears that Gehenna, the Apocalypse is soon to be upon both Kindred and Kine everywhere as dark omens litter the world. These Final Nights have only increased the desperation of the Vampire Sects in achieving their goals and now, after decades of fighting war may be on New York's horizon once again.

Altair had been told to report to his pack's base of operations, for what reason he did not know and he doubted it was good. Since when was a low ranking assassin told to come here? Was he being recognised and being given a promotion in rank? He severely doubted it. He gulped as he entered the room of his direct superior and the man that was giving him his increasingly suicidal missions.
I came as ordered, sir. What is the important matter that you called me back for may I ask? Altair asked as he knew one breach of etiquette coould mean death for the vampire unlucky enough to seem unmannerly.
Ah, your here Altair. I've been ordered to give you a mission on behalf of a Du'at. He said you were the person he wanted for it and that if you succeed it will benefit us all. The Castellan said to Altair.
You are to go to New York and observe where apparently the most vicious fighting between the Camarilla and Sabbat is going on. Your main objective is to make sure none of the Assamite Antribu get killed while your within range of helping, after all they are still Assamites. You are to infiltrate the Camarilla there and the Sabbat and report back with any information and weaken whatever side has been prdicted to lose by the Du'at so as to aid one side and create friendly terms, so we can move around more freely and position ourselves for the Jihad. The Castellan said seriously.
I understand. I shall not fail the Children of Haqim. Altair said zealously and turned around and began to walk away but as he reached the door the Castellan spoke once more.
You will have a partner, or rather someone to observe you and learn how things are actually done. If she jeapordises your mission, leave her to her death.
Altair rasied an eyebrow at this and turned around. Alright, I shall expect this Rafiq and with her I shall destroy the Munafiqun and End the Kafir that are the Sabbat. Altair said and then went out the door, why assign someone who had just gotten out of the status of Fida'i to watch him, was this yet another attempt by the Amr to kill him for refusing to go along the route of magic?

Andrei despised having to meet the Arch-Bishop. It wasn't the actual conversation with him, on the contrary, Andrei savoured such fine intellectual conversation with a wise, elder Tzimisce. The problem was that the Fiend had to wade through the sewers to reach his haven. For a vampire with Auspex and a taste for luxury, this was utterly despicable. The car trip was fairly short and he and the other half of his pack met at an abandoned factory. They entered the sewers through a manhole and began to make their way to the Arch-Bishop's haven.
The stench was appalling. For those with Auspex it was even worse however, as you couldn't fully shut off Heightened Senses. The worst part was, Andrei was wearing a suit. The godforsaken things in that sewer had ruined at least the trouseres now. Just a few more weeks and the Arch-Bishop would install a new stairwell that would bypass the filthy tunnels. Quickly they reached the entrance of the haven, a humble hatch that was apparently sealed off. Using one of his talon’s Andrei pricked his finger and let the blood drip on to the hinge. The blood magick caused a red line to encircle the sealed hatch and let it creak open, providing a small opening that the pack entered.
The interior of the hall of the haven was amazing. On the walls there were humans hanging upside down, with tables that looked 18th Century with blood stains and goblets on them underneath the hanging humans. There was a coat hanger that had been fleshcrafted out of…something…that made it’s way to Andrei before taking his coat. They waited until a ghoul, fleshcrafted into a reptilian monster to show them through to the meeting room where more humans hung and a number of other packs waited. They all began to mingle with the other vampires and waited for the Arch-Bishop to make his grand entrance. This was an important meeting, with connotations of war.

Altair had been flying for the last few hours, it was no easy thing for a vampire with weapons concealed almost everywhere to get aboard a plane and fly to New York but it had been made slightly easier due to a contact of his Castellan who managed to gain Altair access to an extremely quick private jet so he could get there over night. He ha dlanded in the airport and had taken a taxi going through the dingy streets to reach a house which was relatively small. He went in quickly and unpacked his equipment as he knew it would be sunrise soon. Hopefully this Rafiq would arrive soon as he didn' want her dieing that easily.
He walked down into the basement where the both of them had been told to stay to one aoid the sunlight and to secondly avoid easy detection by intruders if it came to that. He kept all his wepaons inside the respective areas of his hold all and put it down next to the bed he had chosen as his. Both beds were double beds so at least there wouldn't be a problem with space.
Where is she?

Andrea sighed as she just got off the plane. Stepping out, she quickly got to the place she was supposed to go to. Finally arriving there, she went down into the basement. Yawning, she made it down towards the basement. Seeing the man there, she peered at the other Vampire.
Altair? her features seemed to brighten abit as her eyes glimmered in a more relaxed way.

Yes, I am Altair and presumably your Rafiq at the moment. I assume your Castellan informed you of the misssion details and also of how risky it is. You will most likely end up dead. To be honest..I probably will as well. Altair said in that cold unemotionless tone he normally had, he pulled back the hood revealing his face. His skin was darker than hers showing he had been an assamite for longer and she even looked less experienced.

Andrea blinked as she hid a yawn. Streaching her limbs, she cracked her back as she settled her things on the bed beside his.
Yes...he has told me about it. He just told me to follow your lead. I'm supposed to observe you and all... she said hesitantly as she sat on her bed, looking at him.
