When we have a few questions I'll post them here (questoin askers will remain annonymous).
Q: Do staff get priveledges over the normal members?
A: Yes, but not much. They get to use the minimum generation and such like without penalties or whatever. Other'n small things they're treated as normal rpers (albeit with judiciary powers)
Q: Wth are the abbreviations for?
A: They're often just book references. As in, where the original writer of the info got their info. VtM means Vampire the Masquerade though, WoD is World of Darkness (the world in which VtM is set. Basically modern Earth but darker), WtA is Werewolf the Apocalypse, DtF is Demon the Fallen, MtA is Mage the Awakening and there are a few others too.
Q: What've you got against Japanese Vampires?
A: The children of Caine are spread across the world except from India onwards. Kindred mysteriously dissapear in that part of Asia and as such no vampires exist there. Alright smartasses, Kuei-Jin live there but they aren't vampires >.>.
Q: Kuei-Jin?
A: Essentially dead spirits that have escaped the Underworld and possessed a corpse. They must devour Chi energy found most abundently in blood to survive, but can enjoy earthly pleasures too. They may be included if enough members join (and I can get enough info on 'em).
Q: What do you mean by attempts?
A: Attempts are just what they sound like. If say, you try and use Passion twice it's duration will increase from one minute to one hour.
Q: When is this set?
A: The timeline this takes place in is 1997.
Q: I don't understand the Merits and Flaws and Backgrounds point system.
A: Basically you get 15 points to spend on Backgrounds and Merits. This number of points can be increased by 7 (15+7=22) by taking 7 points worth of flaws. You don't have to take any merits or backgrounds or flaws really, but it's VERY beneficial to take at least a few.
Q: What does holy water/cross/other religious item do to a vampire?
A: Fuck all. Unless of course, you're a Baali (not implemented yet) or it's being wielded by someone with True Faith.
Q: What's it take to kill a vampire?
A: Fire, Sunlight, total dismemberment or destroying the head. Fire causes aggravated damage that can't be soaked or otherwise stopped unless you have Fortitude or some other mystical defence, same goes for sunlight but worse. If something rips you to itty bitty pieces you'll die and if your body takes enough damage you'll die. Get decaipitated and you'll die. If you lose 1/4 of your head you'll fall into torpor though you'll just fall into torpor and a stake just paralyses ya.
Q: Can vampires eat food?
A: No, food and drink will always turn to ash in their mouthes. Except blood, obviously. If you have a certain merit you can eat things though, but will derive no sustenance from them.
Q: Can vampires have sex?
A: Yes, but like food there's no point. They can't have kids, can't get any pleasure out of it and even have to spend a blood point to ejaculate or orgasm convincingly. All pleasure is derived from satisfaction in doing something or drinking blood. Drinking blood is a pseudo sexual experiance for vampires anyway.
Q: So this is an adult board?
A: Did the fact there is a Clan that finds torturing things in ways more horrific than humans can do as a pasttime tip you off, or the fact that there's a Clan which would take pride in viciously raping and ripping apart a random human in the name of art?
Q: Okay wiseass...what happens if I have say, lvl4 Auspex and someone else has lvl4 Obfuscate?
A: Whoever has a higher postcount wins.
